I have vented my concerns and explained my purpose in becoming a member of Virtual Sheet Music. I have more than hinted as you alluded to. Today's Christian music is quite lacking in my opinion, just like the so called music we hear on major radio/internet networks. I feel it is more of a 'show' than it is a time to honor God. Say what you will but that is NOT true praise and worship. Most churches have contrived an almost Hollywood/rock concert style of music, complete with entertainment style performers on stage. The trend is to post wordy, often difficult to read or understand with strong overtones of a biblical nature, and expect the congregations to 'sing along'. Every line is uplifting to God, encouraging, and faith building.įrankly, I find that most churches lack fun and inspiring songs and choruses for their congregations and small gatherings. I do not use any lyrics other than my own. I believe 'due diligence' is key in using the music melodies exclusively. It is not my intent to break any laws or set myself up for law suits.
